Medical Microneedling

Medical Microneedling with PRP

Fine needles create controlled micro injuries in the skin, and the repair response that follows is what the treatment is recruiting. This is a clinical procedure, so suitability is assessed in person and aftercare is part of it.

What It Is

A Clinical Procedure, Not a Facial

Medical microneedling uses fine needles to create controlled micro injuries across the skin in a deliberate pattern. Those injuries are the point of the treatment. The skin responds by repairing itself, and it is that repair response the treatment is recruiting.

Which is why we call it a procedure rather than a facial. It is performed by a licensed provider, it is planned around your skin and the specific area being treated, and it is not something to add on at the end of another appointment.

If you came here expecting something relaxing, this is the page where we tell you it is not that. It is a treatment with a mechanism, and the mechanism involves your skin healing.

About PRP

Platelet Rich Plasma, From You

PRP stands for platelet rich plasma. It comes from your own blood. A sample is separated so that the platelet rich portion can be concentrated, and that concentrate is what is applied to the skin during treatment.

Because it comes from you, nothing foreign is being introduced into your skin. That is the reason it is paired with microneedling: the treatment has already opened microchannels, and the PRP goes on while they are there.

Whether PRP is part of your treatment is a clinical decision, made with you at the consultation rather than assumed here.

Not The Same Treatment

Microneedling and Morpheus8

These two get confused often, including by clinics that ought to know better. Both involve needles. They are doing different things.

Both are offered here, and both sit on our facial treatments page. Which one is appropriate for you is a conversation with a provider, not a preference you pick in advance.

Afterwards

Aftercare Is Part of The Treatment

Your skin has been through something deliberate, and how you look after it afterwards affects how the treatment settles. This is not an optional extra sheet handed to you on the way out.

We are not publishing a generic aftercare list here, because what applies to you depends on the area treated and on your skin. Your provider gives you specific instructions before you leave. Follow those, and call us if anything worries you rather than waiting for your next appointment.

Your First Appointment

What Happens When You Come In

  • You talk through what you want to change and anything you have tried before

  • Your provider examines your skin and the area you are asking about

  • You go over your medical history, medications, and anything that affects how you heal

  • Your provider says whether microneedling is appropriate for you, and whether PRP is part of the plan

  • If you go ahead, you are given aftercare instructions for the area treated before you leave

Microneedling is not appropriate for everyone, and there are histories and situations where we will say no. We would rather tell you that at a consultation than take the booking.

Related Treatments

Often Considered Alongside

  • Morpheus8 and the full facial category

Radiofrequency microneedling sits on the category page, alongside everything else we offer for the face.

  • Hydrafacial

A surface treatment rather than a procedure, if that is closer to what you had in mind.

  • DiamondGlow

Resurfacing and serum infusion at the surface of the skin.

Before You Book

These are medical aesthetic treatments, so we start with a consultation rather than a booking. A licensed provider reviews your history and what you want to change, confirms whether a treatment is appropriate for you, and plans it around your skin. If something is not a good fit, we will tell you.

  • A consultation is required before any treatment is planned

  • Every treatment is performed by a licensed provider

  • Suitability depends on your history, your skin, and your goals

  • Individual results vary, and no outcome is guaranteed
