Lip Fillers
Lip Fillers in Wappingers Falls
Lip filler adds volume where a provider decides it belongs, in proportion to the rest of your face. We will tell you at the consultation if what you are asking for is not something we would do.

What It Is
Volume, Placed Deliberately
Lip filler is a gel placed into the lip to add volume where a provider decides volume belongs. That is the entire mechanism. It is not a stimulant and it is not a resurfacing treatment, and understanding that makes the rest of the decision much easier.
The interesting part is not the product, it is the judgement. Where it is placed, and how the border, the body of the lip, and the balance between upper and lower relate to each other, is what makes the difference between work that reads as you and work that reads as work.
Being Straight With You
What Filler Does Not Do
Most disappointment with lip filler comes from expecting it to do something it was never going to do. Three things worth knowing before you book.
It adds, it does not lift
Filler places volume where volume is put. It does not tighten the tissue around the mouth and it does not raise anything that has descended.
It does not treat movement
Lines that appear because of how your mouth moves are a different problem with a different answer. Your provider will tell you which one you are actually asking about.
It will not give you someone else's mouth
Lips are placed in proportion to the rest of your face. A shape that works on a photograph you have saved may not be the shape that works on you.
The Product
What We Work With
We work with treatments from the Juvederm family of dermal fillers.
Which one suits the lip, and whether filler is the right approach at all, is settled at your consultation rather than in advance. If you have been treated elsewhere, bring what you know about what was used, because it is genuinely useful to your provider.
When The Answer Is No
We Will Tell You If You Should Not
There are people we decline to treat, and there are requests we decline even from people we would otherwise treat. Sometimes it is a medical history. Sometimes it is that what somebody is asking for would not look right on their face, or that the thing bothering them is not something filler addresses.
You will hear that at the consultation rather than after. We would rather lose the booking than place filler somebody regrets, and if you have been told yes somewhere else on a question we say no to, that is worth thinking about carefully.
Your First Appointment
What Happens When You Come In
If you have never had an injectable, the not knowing is usually the worst part. Here is the shape of a first visit.
You talk through what you have noticed and what you would like to be different
Your provider looks at your lips at rest and while you talk and smile
You go over your medical history, medications, and anything you have had done before
Your provider says whether treatment is appropriate, and what they would and would not do
If you go ahead, you are told what to expect and how to look after the area before you leave
You are allowed to go away and think about it. Nobody here will push you to decide in the room, and a consultation is not a commitment to treatment.

Before You Book
These are medical aesthetic treatments, so we start with a consultation rather than a booking. A licensed provider reviews your history and what you want to change, confirms whether a treatment is appropriate for you, and plans it around your skin. If something is not a good fit, we will tell you.
A consultation is required before any treatment is planned
Every treatment is performed by a licensed provider
Suitability depends on your history, your skin, and your goals
Individual results vary, and no outcome is guaranteed
