Intimate Health and Urinary Incontinence

Two concerns people tend to put off raising, often for years. Both are common, both are discussed confidentially with a licensed provider, and both start with an assessment rather than a treatment.

Before Anything Else

You Are Not Unusual

Concerns about intimate health and about bladder control are common. They are also two of the things people wait longest to mention, often for years, and in most cases the waiting turns out to have been the hardest part.

We are not going to make this awkward. An appointment about either of these is the same as any other appointment here: a conversation with a licensed provider, in a private room, about something specific you want looked at. It is treated with the same confidentiality as any other part of your medical care.

If it helps to know before you call, the person you speak to has had this conversation many times before.

Intimate Health

Concerns Worth Raising

Changes to intimate and sexual health are ordinary clinical territory. They can follow childbirth, they can follow menopause, they can follow surgery or illness, and sometimes they arrive without an obvious reason attached to them.

What is appropriate, and whether anything we offer is appropriate at all, is something your provider works out with you once they understand what you are actually describing. That conversation is the whole of the first appointment.

We have deliberately not put treatment specifics on this page. Not out of squeamishness, but because what suits one person does not suit another, and a public page is a poor substitute for someone asking you the right questions.

Urinary Incontinence

A Medical Condition, Not Just A Nuisance

Urinary incontinence has more than one cause. The pattern matters: leaking when you cough, laugh, or lift is a different situation from a sudden urge you cannot get ahead of, and the two do not have the same answer.

Some causes are things a medical spa can address. Others need evaluation by a physician or a specialist, and a few are a sign of something that should be properly investigated rather than managed around. That is why the first step here is an assessment and not a treatment.

If what you describe needs a different kind of medical care, your provider will tell you plainly and point you toward it. We would far rather send you to the right place than treat the surface of a problem that needs someone else looking at it.

None of this is a reason to keep putting it off. It is common, it is worth having looked at, and an assessment costs you a conversation.

The Appointment

What Actually Happens

  • You describe what is happening in your own words, at your own pace

  • Your provider asks questions to understand the pattern and how long it has been going on

  • You go over your medical history, any pregnancies or surgeries, and the medications you take

  • Your provider says whether this is something they can help with, and what else may be worth doing

  • Nothing is booked in that appointment unless you want it to be

You can stop the conversation at any point, and you can leave having decided nothing. Plenty of people come in to find out what their options are and go away to think, which is a perfectly reasonable way to use a consultation.

Where To Go From Here

Before You Book

These are medical aesthetic treatments, so we start with a consultation rather than a booking. A licensed provider reviews your history and what you want to change, confirms whether a treatment is appropriate for you, and plans it around your skin. If something is not a good fit, we will tell you.

  • A consultation is required before any treatment is planned

  • Every treatment is performed by a licensed provider

  • Suitability depends on your history, your skin, and your goals

  • Individual results vary, and no outcome is guaranteed
